So, my arabian cousin said that if you want to drive, saudi style, you better rent a car. A very boring one but have a good handling. What should I rent?

Camry or Accord of course.

Camry would be the obvious.
Is there a reasonable option to rent a SWB Land Cruiser 70? If there is, it's enough reason for me to vacation in Saudi Arabia.

No...
I drive too much camry and accords back in Indonesia, and I hates it.

No..
I drive too many camrys in indonesia. It's really boring.
Well, it cost about 60-65 quid a day. Quite reasonable for some heavy dessert offroad.

Yeah I wasn't sure if the Camry was in Indonesia, makes sense to not want to drive one!
So thats's a yes on the SWB LC70 (with manual?!)?! I'm booking my flights now!

Well, I'll put that on the 3rd day, if I could find one..

To be honest, I pass my lisence test in a camry. And that's one of the dullest drive I ever done.
Ya, just look for one in there. Not as common as the LWB, but I think you could find one. Plus gas is cheap. Dirt cheap.

Chevy Cruze if they have it. That or a Focus should work.

Hmm
They have something better, a chevy caprice.
The one that sold in the us as Caprice PPV if I remember, 6.0L V8 producing 360hp in very boring body.

You can get that in Australia and Dubai as well. Just saying!

The SWB version is not available in Australia. The 70 is rare enough as SWB it's only available in Bhutan, Tahiti and some of the ME countries, as far as i'm aware.
If I recall you have an early/original SWB LC70?

Really? I thought 70 was the national vehicle of Australia. This year they got few new models of that including the only double cab pick up.
Yes, my good friend with whom I travel has one in red. I have seen government with the new models here. But we have to wait quite a while to find a good one. The red one was found after a wait for 6 months.

The reason I became interested the LC70 was being in Australia and finding out they still make them, then experiencing just how tough they are. Australia loves the pick-up/chassis cab version of the 70. The LWB troop carrier is available, I only saw a very small number. The regular 5 door wagon is too, but I don't recall ever seeing one. They are big on the 80 and 100 series.
Your friends was an ex-government vehicle? I know about waiting, there's rarely more than 1 or 2 for sale in the UK at any one time and the numbers or originals seem to be shrinking in Japan too. Can I ask where you're based?

No, he doesn't. It was privately owned. They are plenty of them available but you have to wait to find the right (good) one.
What I meant by government is the gov departments are procuring the newly made 70 models (SWB one, soft tops and hard tops), I see them all the time and boy do I love to have on soft top SWB 70. The armed forces and gov. departments, both of them as they are auctioning off their older made 70s for new ones.
I am in Pakistan.
The red 70 has its ecu blown currently. The market has hundreds of original (not desi refurbished) ECUs of the automatic one but not for the manual, poor 70 is stuck in the shed. Although the mechanic did show us that it can directly without the help of ECU since it only manages fuel flow but it was something that can be use when there's no other help available.
